Motivational speakers are worth their weight in silver when they preach people care as the central key, but it does not mean that accountability for bad behaviour should be ignored. Business teams need to have unambiguous understanding that immature actions will result in a wrap over the fingers or disciplinary action. Motivational speakers can still chase popularity in their careers, but it should never be the goal of business managers. It is fundamental that subordinates respect their managers. They do not have to love management, but respect is non-negotiable.
